About the Role

We are growing our Data Platform Team that is building our decentralised self-serve data platform, so different domain teams can use data to become truly data driven and help us build buildings that evolve over time and become more aspirational, affordable and sustainable.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer (f/m/d) for our Data Platform, with a deep operational experience. The platform we build will be used in wide areas such as architecture, planning, construction, manufacturing and Smart Home IoT. In this role, you will be involved in building tools and infrastructure abstractions and their operations.

Your Tasks

• You will build, improve and operate a cutting edge data platform with the team
• You will be scaling robust and reliable data infrastructure
• You will ingest data (event driven, synchronous) for different use cases, like IoT, Smart Factory or Building Systems
• You will manage and deploy Knowledge Graphs
• You will be responsible for the integration of data governance and security requirements into the platform
• You will manage and deliver data infrastructure to meet the requirements of various stakeholders (targeting given SLOs and SLAs) and create monitoring and alerting solutions

Your Experience

• You are comfortable using Python, Java or Kotlin as a programming language
• You know how to build scalable systems including performance tuning, replications, back up and recovery strategies
• You have created microservices in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• You have knowledge about Kubernetes, Terraform or Azure DevOps
• You have strong analytical skills and a transparent and collaborative communication style and the ability to troubleshoot complex challenges
• You bring experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Opsgenie)

Optional Experience

• You have worked with graph databases or knowledge graphs
